Hi Jimmy, I was at the Veterans Day program at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH last Sunday, November 9, and heard you sing the National Anthem plus two of your songs. It was truly a very cold, windy, rainy afternoon but people of all ages came, even those with handicaps made an effort to come out that day to pay their respect to our fallen heroes. The two patriotic songs you sang were very moving and as I stood there listening, I observed others listening to every word you sang, some with tears in their eyes. Your patriot songs depict the love and devotion you have for this great land of ours.

Your new song "Fell in love down at SOS" is sure to be a hit. Good nostalgic beat to it. Sounds like the perfect "belly-rubbing" song to dance to. How about a Cleveland Clowns....I mean Browns song? What do you think?

We were at the Mid-Ohio Boogie Bash in Columbus, OH, this past weekend (August 21 - 24)and had the pleasure of hearing you sing and also talking to you. It was wonderful and inspiring to hear your voice honoring America, our troops, and our veterans. Not only do you have a great talent but through this talent -- your music and your voice -- you make everyone aware of what we often take for granted --- our freedom and those who ensure that we Americans continue to have a safe and wonderful life in America.
We hope you will do our club, Charleston Area Shag Society, in Charleston, WV, the honor of coming to one of our parties and sharing your inspirational songs with us.

As I heard you sing "We Give Our Thanks to You" at the Mid-Ohio Boogie Bash this weekend as the military service people were standing, I felt extremely moved as each word was so powerful. Tears came to my eyes, and I felt such a sense of pride and honor to live in our wonderful country of freedom. You are truly gifted with your song-writing, flawless voice, and presence. The experience was the highlight of my weekend. Also, it was great meeting you and dancing the Shag. See you in at SOS. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us in Columbus. Juanita

I found this site through Google. I am so happy that I found this site. It was like a Twilight Zone experience with all the coincidences I came across on this site. (Christian, patriotic music, Ohio based, and even the radio stations call letters!)
I was looking for free MP3 Patriotic music for a friend of mine. He is a fill in radio host and will be doing the fourth of July stint. I know he will be very happy. He lived in Ohio when he was a kid - the son of a preacher man. I think he may stop by to leave a message here. I would not be surprised if some of you know him.

Subject: Jimmy Flynn
I became acquainted with Jimmy Flynn just over two years ago. A friend emailed me two patriotic songs that Jimmy Flynn wrote and told me that I would find these songs interesting. And I did!
You see, I am a combat disabled Vietnam veteran. The songs that I received were so inspiring and touched my soul that I had to let others hear this music. I knew of a veteran who just started his own radio show that was dedicated to veterans, safety forces and active duty personnel.
I wanted to see if Jimmy’s songs were something that could be used on this show and sure enough, Jimmy was brought on the show and this inspired many of us who listened and inspired many of us.
I’ve gotten to know Jimmy over these past couple of years. This past Memorial Day, I had Jimmy sing two of his songs in our program. I noticed the large crowd on hand were spellbound by Jimmy’s presence and his ability to capture and hold their attention by the songs that were being sung. After this program some people said to me that Jimmy’s singing was one of the highlights of the program. A veteran and police officer from Lakewood said of Jimmy’s singing that he was glad he made this program just to hear Jimmy sing, if nothing more.
I also had men and women in uniform in my program who said that Jimmy’s singing touched them. For me, I felt very fortunate to have been able to have Jimmy in my program and have asked for him next year too. Jimmy is and always will be a friend and a spiritual and patriotic inspiration.
Jimmy Flynn is a great singer, composer, writer and a friend. Anyone who has an opportunity to hear Jimmy’s songs and talk with this gentleman, has to come away feeling better about themselves and this great country we live in. Jimmy is a “True American” in my eyes and I am proud to know him.
